Electro-Harmonix EHX Percolator is an analog effects pedal for electric guitar and bass. Asymmetrical clipping emphasises even-order harmonics, with sounds ranging from overdrive to heavy fuzz.

DRIVE disengages the clipping diodes for transistor-style distortion, while FUZZ engages them for a heavier effect. HARMONICS controls input gain and BALANCE sets the overall output level.

BIAS changes the gain circuit’s operating point, moving from smoother drive through pseudo-octave sounds to gated fuzz. An internal trim pot provides additional gain and changes the pseudo-sub-octave range.

Use the footswitch for regular on/off operation or for a temporary change while held. The pedal runs on the supplied 9 V battery or an optional external power adapter.
