The Electro-Harmonix MEL9 is a polyphonic effects pedal that transforms your electric guitar, bass guitar, or keyboard into a classic Mellotron instrument. This pedal recreates sounds that shaped the progressive and classic rock sound of the 70s and 80s (from The Beatles to King Crimson). Thanks to advanced tracking technology, the pedal responds to your playing instantly, allowing you to play both single notes and full chords without any delay or glitch effects.

The pedal offers 9 authentic sounds: Orchestra, Cello, Strings, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Brass, Low Choir and High Choir. Control is intuitive: the Attack knob allows you to set the sound's onset speed (from instant to a slow, violin-style fade-in), while Sustain controls the note's decay time. Separate Dry and Effect volume controls allow you to create the ideal mix between your instrument's natural sound and synthetic textures.
