The Electro-Harmonix Bass Big Muff Pi is an effects pedal that brings back the iconic, earth-shaking sound of the "Black Russian" model, but optimized for the modern bassist. Unlike guitar models, this pedal ensures that your low end never gets lost, even with maximum distortion levels. This is achieved using a special Dry / Bass Boost switch.

The pedal offers three operating modes, controlled by a single switch. The Norm mode provides a classic "Big Muff" tone. The Bass Boost mode adds extra low frequencies to the distorted signal itself (especially useful when the Tone knob is turned towards the high-frequency side). The Dry mode mixes your direct clean signal with the effected signal, allowing you to preserve note attack and clarity. In addition, a separate Dry Out allows you to send a clean signal to a second amplifier or channel.
