DPA 4097-DC-G-B00-010 Shotgun Microphone

DPA 4097-DC-G-B00-010 Shotgun Microphone

DPA 4097-DC-G-B00-010 is a compact condenser shotgun microphone with a flexible gooseneck.

A supercardioid capsule and interference design focus on speech from a selected direction. Sound from the sides is attenuated, making the microphone useful in confined positions. The A-weighted signal-to-noise ratio specified for the microphone is 71 dB(A).

The 10 cm gooseneck aims the microphone head, while a built-in shock mount reduces vibration transmitted through the support. DPA designed this model for ENG/EFP work and discreet placement on film sets.

This model terminates in MicroDot. Connection to a specific wired or wireless system requires a suitable DPA adapter. DPA specifies IP58 protection against dust and moisture but does not recommend immersing the microphone in liquid.

Main Features

• Narrow supercardioid pickup helps focus on speech and reduce sound arriving from the sides.
• The 10 cm gooseneck aims the capsule toward the source without repositioning the entire mount.
• A built-in shock mount reduces vibration transmitted through the support.
• MicroDot allows a suitable DPA adapter to be selected for a wired or wireless system.
• Compatibility with 4099-series clips gives more mounting options in confined spaces.
• IP58 protection supports use where moisture or dust exposure is possible, without immersing the microphone in liquid.
• Total harmonic distortion stays below 1% up to 133 dB SPL peak.
