DPA 4017B Shotgun Microphone

DPA 4017B is a condenser shotgun microphone fitted with the MMP-B preamp.

Its interference design focuses pickup toward the source and reduces sound arriving from the sides. This is useful for film and broadcast recording from a boom.

The MMP-B preamp has a permanent third-order 50 Hz high-pass filter. Separate switches add low cut below 120 Hz or a +4 dB high boost at 8 kHz.

A 3-pin XLR connector works with P48 phantom power. Check the 212 mm length, 19 mm diameter and 68 g weight when choosing a boom or camera mount.
