Denon PMA-1700NE is an integrated stereo amplifier with a USB-B DAC and an MM/MC phono stage. Its UHC-MOS amplifier drives passive loudspeakers, while analogue and digital inputs accommodate a turntable, CD player, television or computer.

Advanced AL32 Processing Plus processes digital audio, while the PCM1795 DAC and DAC Master Clock design handle conversion. USB-B supports PCM up to 384 kHz / 32 bit and DSD up to 11.2 MHz.

USB-B playback uses a computer, and Windows requires the Denon USB driver. Two optical inputs and one coaxial input accept stereo PCM up to 192 kHz / 24 bit. The TV digital audio output must be set to PCM.

A six-block chassis and digital isolator separate circuits and reduce the effect of noise from a connected computer. Analog Mode disables digital circuitry, Source Direct bypasses tone controls, and EXT.PRE accommodates an external preamplifier.
