The Denon DCD-1700NE is a CD and SACD player for a home Hi-Fi system. It plays audio discs and music files recorded on CDs or DVDs, including DSD files on DVD.

Advanced AL32 Processing Plus processes the digital audio signal. The DAC uses a master clock, with separate rectifier circuits for the analogue and digital sections.

The analogue RCA output connects to an amplifier. Optical and coaxial outputs allow an external DAC to be used, while SACD HD-layer and DSD-file audio is available through the analogue output only.

Pure Direct turns off the display during playback and disables digital outputs. Operate the player using its front-panel buttons or the supplied remote control.
