Denon AVR-X2800H is a 7.2-channel 8K AV receiver designed for home cinema systems and music playback, with support for Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, HEOS, AirPlay 2 and advanced HDMI video technologies.

The seven-channel power amplifier uses a separate amplification circuit for each channel. It delivers 95W per channel into 8 ohms, measured from 20 Hz to 20 kHz with 0.08% total harmonic distortion and two channels driven. The receiver can be configured for a 7.2 or 5.2.2-channel system, while Dolby Atmos and DTS:X provide immersive object-based surround sound.

Six HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs provide connectivity for a television, game console, media player and other video sources. Three HDMI inputs support 8K/60 Hz and 4K/120 Hz signals, while VRR, QFT and ALLM are designed for use with compatible gaming systems. HDR10+, Dolby Vision, Dynamic HDR and HLG pass-through preserve the dynamic range, colour and contrast of compatible video content.

HEOS Built-in enables wireless music streaming and integration with other HEOS devices in a multi-room audio system. The receiver also supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, internet radio, music servers and high-resolution FLAC, ALAC, WAV and DSD files. A dedicated MM phono input allows a compatible turntable to be connected directly.

Audyssey MultEQ XT room correction uses the included calibration microphone to optimise system settings for the listening environment. Denon Setup Assistant guides the user through initial configuration, while the ZONE2 function can deliver a separate two-channel audio source to another room.
