Denon AVC-X4800H is a 9.4 channel home theater AV amplifier for larger cinema systems, immersive audio, 8K video sources, game consoles and multi-zone audio control.

The model includes 9 power amplifier channels and supports up to 11.4 channel processing via pre-out connections. This allows expanded Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Auro-3D and IMAX Enhanced systems, while four independent subwoofer outputs provide more flexibility for low-frequency placement and calibration.

AVC-X4800H supports 8K/60 Hz and 4K/120 Hz HDMI video, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, Dynamic HDR, HLG, HDCP 2.3 and gaming-related HDMI functions such as ALLM, VRR and QFT. Seven HDMI inputs and three HDMI outputs allow multiple video sources, a TV, a projector or an additional zone to be connected.

Denon audio technologies include discrete power amplifiers, D.D.S.C. HD Digital 32-bit processing, AL32 Processing Multichannel, Pure Direct mode and Clock Jitter Reducer. Audyssey MultEQ XT32 is built in for room acoustic calibration, with Dirac Live upgrade capability available separately.

Integrated HEOS allows music streaming over the network, multi-room audio control and wireless playback features. The amplifier supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, TuneIn, Roon Tested functionality, high-resolution FLAC, ALAC and WAV files up to 192 kHz / 24-bit and DSD 2.8 / 5.6 MHz playback.
