Crest Audio CPX 2 Power Amplifier

Crest Audio CPX 2 Power Amplifier

The Crest Audio CPX 2 is a two-channel power amplifier.

Designed for passive loudspeakers, it supports mobile PA rigs and fixed installations. Separate stereo channels can be combined in bridged mono when a single higher-power output is required.

Gain Comparator Limiting reduces gain as clipping approaches. A rear switch enables or defeats GCL, while front LEDs show signal, limiting, thermal protection and power status.

Each channel has a switchable 150 Hz crossover and 40 Hz low-cut filter. Line-level outputs support additional amplification and separate frequency bands.

Main Features

• Stereo and bridged mono operation adapt the amplifier to two-channel or single-load systems.
• Balanced XLR/TRS inputs accept line-level mixer signals.
• Twist-lock speaker connectors secure output cables.
• Independent front attenuators set the level of each channel.
• GCL limiting helps prevent severe clipping at high signal levels.
• Short-circuit, thermal and DC protection safeguard the amplifier and its load.
• Turn-on and turn-off muting reduce switching transients.
• Temperature-controlled cooling responds to the amplifier’s thermal load.
