Description
Blackstar Beam Mini Guitar Amplifier
The Beam Mini is a 24W stereo battery-powered desktop amplifier for electric, bass, and acoustic guitar (B.E.A.M.), built around an acoustically tuned sealed cabinet housing two 60mm full-range drivers and dual passive bass radiators. It combines component-level digital modelling with native Neural Amp Modeler (NAM) support via the Tone3000 library, making it the first guitar amplifier to load NAM captures directly. Bluetooth Hi-Fi audio playback, a USB-C audio interface, and an IP66 dust-tight weatherproof rating give it a wider range of uses than a typical practice amp.
On-unit control is handled by a SpeedDial rotary knob with a responsive Light Beam display that provides real-time parameter feedback without the app. XpressFX maps multiple effects to that single SpeedDial, keeping expression immediate. The Beam app (iOS and Android) unlocks deeper editing, artist-created patches, and the full Tone3000 NAM library. Moises AI stem separation is scheduled as a firmware update in August 2026, and Ableton Live Lite is included for direct USB recording.
Key Features
- Acoustically engineered cabinet: Sealed enclosure developed with UK acoustics specialists, combining two 60mm full-range drivers and dual passive bass radiators with Blackstar's Super Wide Stereo technology for a wide, room-filling stereo image.
- Component-level modelling: 12 electric guitar amp models (six Blackstar designs plus five Ampton recreations of classic amps), three bass amp models, and one acoustic voice, all modelled at the component level for dynamic valve-like response.
- NAM capture support: First guitar amplifier to natively load Neural Amp Modeler (NAM) captures, with access to 200,000+ community-created profiles via the Tone3000 library through the Beam app.
- CabRig IR simulation: IR-based speaker and microphone simulation with Blackstar's "In The Room" technology, delivering lifelike cabinet response for headphone listening and direct recording.
- 35+ effects: Studio-grade effects arranged across six blocks (three pre, three post), with on-unit control via SpeedDial and XpressFX for immediate expression without menu navigation.
- Patented ISF control: Blackstar's Infinite Shape Feature sweeps continuously between American and British voicings across all amp models.
- Bluetooth and USB-C audio interface: Hi-Fi Bluetooth for music playback and standalone speaker use, plus USB-C for charging and audio interface functionality.
- Headset mic input: TRRS input allows simultaneous guitar and vocal monitoring through headphones.
- IP66 weatherproof rating: Dust-tight and weatherproof construction rated IP66 for indoor and outdoor use.
- 18+ hour battery life: USB-C rechargeable battery for extended sessions away from mains power.
