The BEHRINGER X AIR XR12 is a digital mixer with 12 physical inputs and no integrated channel control surface, designed for operation from a tablet, phone, or computer in live and studio systems.

Four programmable MIDAS microphone preamps use balanced XLR / 1/4-inch TRS combo connectors and provide individually switchable +48 V phantom power. Eight additional balanced 1/4-inch TRS line inputs accommodate instruments, players, and other line-level sources.

Every input channel provides a low-cut filter, 4-band fully parametric EQ, gate, and compressor. The main L/R and six Aux buses include insert points, dynamics processing, and a choice of parametric or 31-band graphic EQ; a 100-band real-time analyzer is available in the EQ view for channels and buses.

Four true-stereo effects engines provide X32-family reverb, delay, modulation, EQ, and dynamics processing. Gain Sharing automixing distributes gain between multiple speaking microphones in real time, making the mixer suitable for panel discussions, conferences, and other multi-speaker applications.

Integrated tri-mode Wi-Fi operates as an access point for up to four clients, joins an existing wireless network as a Wi-Fi client, or can be replaced by a wired Ethernet connection. The front-panel USB Type-A port records and plays uncompressed stereo WAV files on USB media; it is not a multichannel computer audio interface.
