The Audio-Technica AE3000 is a large-diaphragm cardioid condenser instrument microphone from the Artist Elite series, built for supreme performance at extreme SPLs. Its large-diaphragm capsule is housed in an open-architecture headcase that provides an extremely accurate, natural sound, while the low-profile side-address design with tapered grille allows precise positioning directly against the sound source. A switchable high-pass filter and 10 dB pad provide additional control for challenging recording and live situations. The AE3000 handles guitar cabinets, toms, snare, timpani, horns, and drum overheads with equal capability. Phantom power is required.
