Allen & Heath ZEDi-8 is a compact 8-channel analogue mixer with a 24-bit/96kHz USB audio interface, designed for live sound, music recording, podcasting and livestreaming.

The ZEDi-8 combines hands-on analogue mixer control with a 2-input, 2-output USB audio interface. Two mono channels feature XLR microphone and 1/4-inch TRS line/instrument inputs, while two additional stereo channels accommodate keyboards, media players and other line-level sources.

The mono channels use Allen & Heath GS preamps, 100Hz high-pass filters and two-band MusiQ equalisers. Both 1/4-inch inputs can be switched to high-impedance Hi-Z mode, allowing electric, electro-acoustic or bass guitars to be connected directly without requiring a separate DI box.

The integrated USB 2.0 audio interface operates at resolutions up to 24-bit/96kHz and carries two audio channels in each direction. The USB output can be sourced from the first two mono channels, the main LR mix before the main level control or the signal after it. This routing supports instrument recording, stereo mix capture, computer playback and livestreaming workflows.

The compact chassis, integrated power supply, XLR main outputs, headphone output and independent PFL monitoring make the ZEDi-8 suitable for home studios, rehearsal rooms and small live sound systems. Cubase LE recording software and the Cubasis application for compatible iOS devices are also available with the mixer.
