Allen & Heath ZED-6 is a compact 6-input analog mixer designed for live sound, rehearsals, recording, streaming, podcasting and small sound systems.

The Allen & Heath ZED-6 is designed for applications where a small, reliable and straightforward analog mixer is required. It provides two mic / line channels, two stereo inputs and main XLR outputs, allowing microphones, instruments, keyboards, players, computers and other audio sources to be combined into one mix.

The ZED-6 features Allen & Heath GSPre microphone preamps, developed from the company’s GS-R24 studio console technology. They are designed for clean signal capture, low noise and high headroom. 48 V phantom power allows condenser microphones to be connected, while the Hi-Z instrument inputs make it possible to plug in a guitar or another high-impedance instrument directly without a separate DI box.

The mixer includes 2-band EQ, a low-cut filter and a headphone output for signal monitoring. The main XLR outputs are used to connect active speakers, an amplifier or another sound system. This is a compact analog mixer without an integrated effects processor, so it should not be confused with the Allen & Heath ZED-6FX version.
