Allen & Heath Xone:K3 is a customisable MIDI controller. It provides physical control of MIDI-enabled DJ, music, video and lighting software.

The surface combines buttons, rotary potentiometers, push encoders and four faders. Three control layers allow each physical control to operate different software parameters.

The free Xone Controller Editor configures MIDI CC and Note messages, LED colours and layer behaviour. Custom mappings can be stored on the controller and backed up as files. Existing Xone:K1 and Xone:K2 mappings are supported.

USB-C carries MIDI data and powers the unit. Multiple K3 controllers connected through a USB hub are recognised independently by the host. X:LINK connects compatible Xone devices, but a USB-powered K3 does not supply power to other X:LINK units.

A die-cast metal chassis, steel faceplate and nutted potentiometers form the physical construction. Xone:K3 sends control commands; audio playback requires a separate audio interface or a mixer with an interface.

Who Is It For
