Allen & Heath SQ5+ is a 48-channel, 44-bus digital mixing console for live sound, AV systems, recording, streaming, broadcast and fixed installations.

Its compact frame can be installed in a 19-inch rack with the optional rackmount kit. The 96 kHz XCVI core provides less than 0.7 ms system latency and variable bit-depth processing up to 96 bits. The console offers 48 input processing channels, 12 mono or stereo Aux / Group mixes, the main stereo LR mix, four FX sends, four RackUltra FX sends and six mono or linkable matrix mixes.

The control surface combines 17 motorised 100 mm faders, six customisable channel strip layers, eight assignable SoftKeys and a 9-inch capacitive touchscreen. Channels and mixes can be placed on any strip, named and colour coded, while programmable Chromatic LED metering provides immediate channel level feedback.

Every input channel includes an HPF, Gate / Expander, four-band parametric EQ, compressor, delay and fully patchable insert point. Eight RackExtra FX and four RackUltra FX engines have dedicated stereo return channels. The console is also ready for optional DEEP processing add-ons and provides two 24-channel or one 48-channel Automatic Mic Mixer.

The integrated 32 × 32 USB-B audio interface operates at 48 or 96 kHz. USB-A SQ-Drive records and plays back up to 16 channels at 96 kHz or 32 channels at 48 kHz without a computer. A 128 × 128 SLink port connects compatible Allen & Heath stage boxes, expanders and systems, while the option card slot supports SLink, Dante, Waves or MADI connectivity.
