Allen & Heath ME-500 Personal Monitor Mixer

Allen & Heath ME-500 is a 16-source personal monitor mixer. Musicians can adjust their headphone mix independently of the main front-of-house mix.

Each selected source has level, pan, mute and solo controls. Received ME channels are automatically assigned to the 16 selection keys, starting from channel 1. A stereo pair linked at the source console occupies one key.

A two-band master EQ and adjustable limiter process the headphone mix. Eight user presets store individual mixes for recall. USB flash media transfer settings and update firmware; the USB port does not carry audio.

Link In and Link Out support daisy-chained ME-500 units, or connection through a ME-U hub and a suitable PoE network switch. Power comes from PoE or the supplied external adapter. Link Out does not provide PoE, so each daisy-chained mixer needs its own power supply.

ME-500 works with a compatible ME connection on dLive, Avantis, SQ and Qu consoles. Other manufacturers’ systems require a ME-U hub and an appropriate 48 kHz Dante or MADI card. An integrated 3/8-inch threaded insert supports microphone stand mounting.
