ALLEN & HEATH AR2412 Digital Stage Box
ALLEN & HEATH AR2412 is a 24-input, 12-output digital stage box designed to expand the I/O capacity of compatible Allen & Heath digital mixers and AHM audio matrix processors while positioning the connections closer to the stage or audio sources.
The AR2412 provides 24 balanced XLR mic/line inputs with remotely controlled preamplifiers and 12 balanced, relay-protected XLR line outputs. A/D and D/A conversion takes place close to the audio sources, while 48 kHz dSNAKE audio and control data are carried over a single shielded CAT5e or higher-category cable at distances of up to 100 metres.
Preamp sensitivity, gain, the -20 dB pad and 48 V phantom power are controlled remotely from the mixer. These settings can be stored and recalled with mixer scenes, making the AR2412 suitable for touring, portable and installed sound systems.
A dedicated Expander port allows an AR84 or AB168 to be connected in a daisy chain, while the Monitor port supports Allen & Heath ME and Aviom Pro16 personal monitoring systems. No separate configuration is required, and the connected mixer automatically matches the AR2412 firmware to the system.
