ALLEN & HEATH AB168 is a portable 16-input, 8-output 48 kHz digital stage box designed to place remote audio connections close to the stage and sound sources in compatible ALLEN & HEATH digital systems.

Its sixteen XLR mic/line inputs feature remotely controlled preamps, +48 V phantom-power indicators and a −20 dB pad for line-level sources. Eight balanced XLR line outputs are relay protected.

A single Cat5 cable carries dSNAKE audio and control between the mixer or an upstream expander and the AB168 over distances of up to 100 m. A second locking EtherCon Expander port supports daisy-chaining a compatible expander or connecting an ALLEN & HEATH ME personal monitoring system.

The steel chassis, rubber bumpers and carry handle suit stage use. The AB168 can operate horizontally or vertically and can be installed in a 19-inch rack with the separately available 4U rack-mount kit.
