Free Color Stage Lighting and Effects

Free Color stage lighting and effects

Free Color offers equipment for lighting stages, dance floors and event spaces, from static LED fixtures to moving beams, strobes and special effects. The Stage IQ collection includes individual fixtures and equipment for coordinated lighting setups for DJs, clubs and event venues.

LED PAR and COB lights

LED PAR fixtures provide colour washes for stages, walls and scenery. P1810-A RGBW mixes red, green, blue and white light, while P1815 RGBWA adds an amber light source. When choosing a fixture, consider the area to be lit, the distance to the subject and the beam angle.

COB200 RGBW provides coloured lighting, while COB200 WHITE produces white light with a colour temperature adjustable from 3200 to 5700 K. These serve different purposes: the RGBW version creates coloured backgrounds, while the WHITE version lets you choose warmer or cooler white light.

Moving heads: WASH, SPOT and BEAM

The W710 wash moving head provides moving colour washes. MINI SPOT 60 HALO has colour and gobo wheels for projecting patterns. MINI BEAM 60 HALO produces a narrow beam for defined moving accents. Choose according to the lighting effect you want, as well as the power of the light source.

Lighting effects and strobes

FX4 BOOMBOX combines LED patterns, derby, laser and strobe effects in one fixture. The collection also includes MINIFX effects, MINI SPIDER 2, and S1000 RGB and S1000 WHITE strobes. These complement the main lighting with movement, flashes and colour changes. Automatic operation, sound activation and DMX options vary by model.

DMX lighting controllers

C192 supports 192 DMX channels, C384 supports 384, and PILOT 2000 supports 512. Match the controller to the total channel requirements of your fixtures and their selected operating modes. Scene and chase programming also matters: it lets you prepare lighting sequences in advance and play them back during an event.

Fog and bubble machines

Fog makes light beams more visible in the air. SM04, SM06 and SM07 fog machines differ in power, tank capacity, output and controls, so choose according to the size of the space and the effect required. The SM07 DMX version can be integrated into a DMX control system. SM0211 SMALL produces soap bubbles.

Choosing Free Color equipment

Start by deciding whether you need to illuminate subjects, create a colour wash or add moving beams and effects to a performance. Then compare beam angles, colour mixing, controls and mounting options. For outdoor use, choose a suitable model and check its IP rating. Stage IQ can help you match lighting fixtures, effects and a controller to the needs of your events.
