Description
Shure PGA81-XLR Cardioid Condenser Instrument Microphone
The Shure PGA81-XLR is a professional-quality condenser instrument microphone designed for sensitive and detailed recording and amplification of acoustic instruments. With its flat frequency response, this microphone accurately reproduces the natural timbre of the instrument without artificial coloration, making it an ideal choice for acoustic guitars, string instruments (violin, cello), piano, and as an overhead microphone for drums or percussion.
The PGA81 features a cardioid polar pattern that effectively isolates the sound source and rejects unwanted ambient noise. The microphone has a durable, industrial-design metal body with a black metallic finish, ensuring discreteness on stage and longevity. As a condenser microphone, it requires phantom power. This model (XLR version) comes with all necessary accessories, including a 4.6-meter XLR cable, making it ready for use straight out of the box.
