Description
ELECTRO-HARMONIX Micro Q-Tron Envelope Filter
The Electro-Harmonix Micro Q-Tron is a smooth-operating dynamic filter, also known as an "auto-wah." Unlike a traditional wah pedal, which you control with your foot, this effect reacts to your playing attack and dynamics. The harder you hit the strings, the wider the filter opens, creating an expressive, voice-like sound.
The pedal features simple but powerful controls. The Drive knob sets the filter's sensitivity (how strongly it reacts to your playing), while the Q knob adjusts the filter's peak – from subtle and wide to sharp and resonant. The most important tone-shaping tool is the rotary Mode switch, which allows you to choose one of three filter types: LP (Low Pass – emphasizes low frequencies), BP (Band Pass – highlights mid frequencies, the classic "wah" sound), and HP (High Pass – emphasizes high frequencies).
Key Features
-
Three Filter Modes:
- LP (Low Pass): Low-pass filter (emphasizes bass).
- BP (Band Pass): Band-pass filter (emphasizes mid-range frequencies).
- HP (High Pass): High-pass filter (emphasizes high frequencies).
- Dynamic Control: The effect is controlled solely by the strength of your playing (no foot required).
- Q Control: Allows you to set the intensity of the filter's resonance.
- True Bypass: When the effect is off, the signal passes through unaffected.
- Durable Construction: Metal die-cast enclosure.
