Asymmetrical clipping emphasises even-order harmonics, with sounds ranging from overdrive to heavy fuzz.

DRIVE disengages the clipping diodes for transistor-style distortion, while FUZZ engages them for a heavier effect. HARMONICS controls input gain and BALANCE sets the overall output level.

BIAS changes the gain circuit’s operating point, moving from smoother drive through pseudo-octave sounds to gated fuzz. An internal trim pot provides additional gain and changes the pseudo-sub-octave range.

Use the footswitch for regular on/off operation or for a temporary change while held. The pedal runs on the supplied 9 V battery or an optional external power adapter.

Main Features

DRIVE and FUZZ offer two different distortion characters.

Asymmetrical clipping emphasises even-order harmonics.

HARMONICS increases input-stage distortion.

BIAS provides pseudo-octave and gated-fuzz textures.

BALANCE matches the pedal’s output level.

An internal trim changes gain and pseudo-octave character.

Momentary switching provides short fuzz accents.

The included battery allows operation without an external adapter.

Technical Specifications

Circuit: analog distortion with asymmetrical clipping emphasising even-order harmonics

DRIVE/FUZZ: DRIVE disengages clipping diodes for overdrive/distortion; FUZZ engages them for heavy fuzz

Controls: HARMONICS input gain, BALANCE output level, BIAS from smoother drive to pseudo-octave and gated fuzz

Internal trim: gain and pseudo-sub-octave range; factory position at noon, fully clockwise produces the most vintage-like sound

Bypass and footswitch: mechanical-relay True Bypass; latching or momentary action above 0.5 s; momentary action can be disabled and the setting retained

Connection impedance: mono input 70 kΩ, AMP output 0-12.5 kΩ depending on BALANCE position

Battery and adapter: 9 V battery included; external power adapter not included

External power: 9 V DC, 10 mA, centre-negative; maximum 12 V DC; supply rated at least 50 mA

Battery operation: inserting the input cable switches power on; unplug it when the pedal is unused

Compatibility: electric guitar and bass

Dimensions: 4.5 x 2.75 x 2.1 inches

What’s Included

1 x Electro-Harmonix EHX Percolator Effects Pedal

9 V battery

External power adapter is not included.

Who Is It For

For electric guitar and bass parts requiring dynamic overdrive, heavy fuzz, pseudo-octave textures or gated effects.

Can’t find the Electro-Harmonix product you are looking for?

Contact us: info@stageiq.lt or +370 636 55536.
